                                                                  THE PROCESS

Light transmits over the surface of the skin, the shaved hair is visible at the surface and is targeted. The highest concentration of melanin is found at the root of the hair, absorbs this light. After it is absorbed, heat is produced and then radiates out into the follicle wall destroying the cells. Hair re-growth is impeded. Laser works equally well on most skin pigmentation without removing any pigmentation. Laser hair removal eliminates hair that is dark blonde to black. Treatments at 5 week intervals, are needed to obtain optimal results. It is quick, relatively painless with little to no redness or skin irritation. The client lies in a comfortable position while the technician glides a hand-piece over his or her skin. Precise doses of light within specific wavelengths are emitted from this hand-piece and placed on the skin and moved after every pulse.

                                                               How to Prepare

1. Be sure to be as close to your natural skin tone as possible. Don’t use self tanner, tanning booths or natural sun during the treatments on the treatment area(s).

2. Be sure to SHAVE the treatment area(s) prior to your appointment. Any missed strays will be shaved during your appointment, but dry shaving a whole area might not be possible and/or cause major irritation.

3. Check your medications. Some medication taken up to 10 days prior to your appointment could cause your skin to be sensitive to the light and cause an inadvertent burn or discoloration. If you could not find this information on your own, please reach out to us and we will help guild you.
